As of Thursday, April 8 at 12:01 a.m., a Stay-at-Home Order (francais) is in effect for all of Ontario. The order requires everyone to remain at home except for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated, for outdoor exercise, or for work that cannot be done remotely.
If you are having difficulty breathing or experiencing other severe symptoms, call 9-1-1 immediately. Advise them of your symptoms, any known exposure to COVID-19 and your travel history.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or received a notification of exposure from the COVID Alert app, you must self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19.
As of December 11, 2020 publicly funded testing centres (i.e., assessment centres and pharmacies) will no longer provide COVID-19 testing for the purpose of international travel. Private lab options are available in the Greater Toronto Area for individuals without symptoms who require testing before travelling.
Testing is available at COVID-19 Assessment Centres if you are:
showing symptoms of COVID-19,
notified by KFL&A Public Health that you have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days,
notified of an exposure to COVID-19 through the COVID Alert app,
a resident or employee of, or visitor to, a long-term care home, homeless shelter, or other congregate setting, or
part of an outbreak investigation as informed by KFL&A Public Health.

Testing is available at selected pharmacies if you are:
a resident, employee, or visitor of a long-term care home,
a resident or employee in a shelter or other care or congregate setting,
a farm worker,
are an international student who has completed their 14-day self-isolation period following international travel, or
someone who self-identifies as Indigenous.
You cannot be tested at a pharmacy if you:
have symptoms,
have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days,
are travelling internationally,
are an international student in their 14-day self-isolation period following international travel, or
have been notified of exposure to COVID-19 through the COVID Alert app.

What do I do after getting tested? |
Ask the health care professional performing your test what you need to do after getting tested. Carefully read the instructions you are provided on any forms you are given at the COVID-19 Assessment Centre for details on whether or not you are required to self-isolate, and when you can return to work or school. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or received a notification of exposure from the COVID Alert app, you must self-isolate until you receive a negative COVID-19 test result. |
How to get my test results? |
KFL&A Public Health cannot provide test results for individuals if they were not directed to be tested by KFL&A Public Health. KFL&A Public Health will receive a copy of any positive COVID-19 result for anyone who resides in the region. If you test positive for COVID-19, KFL&A Public Health will contact you directly. |
