Food demonstrations |
Fun and informative 15-minute food demonstrations can be provided at your workplace, by KFL&A Public Health Food Skills Ambassador volunteers. The food demonstrations focus on a healthy food item and provide information on its nutrition value, how to purchase, store and prepare the item while giving you a recipe and sample to taste. Choose from our selection of demonstrations or book a series. Currently we offer Delicious dark leafy greens, Wholesome whole grains, Turn up the beets, Amazing avocados, and Choose Water instead of Sugary Drinks. These demonstrations are best suited to groups of about 10 to 15 participants. Food costs for the recipe are paid by the requesting workplace. Please submit your request one month before presentation date, to ensure volunteers are available. To book, call KFL&A Public Health’s Workplace Wellness line. |
