We experienced strong support for this project from the school administration which led to a fluid implementation of the tracking system. We gathered three weeks of data but had hoped for four or five weeks. Alterations to the data collection process and to the form may increase the accuracy and frequency of data collection. The data collected by this system would be useful on its own and could be used to answer more questions if supplemental data was collected.
Upon discussion of the findings we understand the importance of school engagement. This tracking system will work for a school interested in monitoring and improving their active transportation.
