KFL&A Public Health is committed to providing staff and volunteers with a healthy work environment. KFL&A Public Health provides public health programs to more than 209,000 people living in our community. Our main office is located in Kingston, with staff members and volunteers also working out of branch offices in Napanee, and Cloyne.

We have over 200 staff and volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area.

Employment opportunities 

Maintenance I, Facilities - Part-time term (0.2 FTE, 12 months) 

CA$22.98 to CA$28.29 per hour

South East Health Unit is a public health agency with over 500 staff and volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the South East region. There is an immediate opening for a Maintenance I, Facilities working out of the Cloyne office.

Maintenance I is responsible for environmental cleaning all areas of the main office building and conducting preventative maintenance tasks and general facilities operational tasks. The recommended schedule for this term position is 2 hours per day, 3 days a week but can be flexible based on the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a grade 12 diploma or equivalent training and experience and 6 to 12 months of experience in a maintenance position.

Volunteer opportunities 

Volunteer opportunities vary by time of year and type of event. We offer volunteers a range of opportunities in the following areas:

  • General support volunteers assist with various health promotion and health protection special events and projects. Volunteers may assist agency teams with internal requests and odd jobs, such as replenishing supplies, putting together resources packages, providing activity support or monitoring the safety of event participants.

KFL&A Public Health volunteers are an important part of a dedicated team working towards better health. We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the application process.

Applications are kept on file in volunteer resources for a period of six months.
