Immunizations and vaccines
Vaccines are the best way to protect people from diseases that can be dangerous. Babies, children, and adults can get routine vaccines from their healthcare provider. KFL&A Public Health offers vaccine clinics for early years (babies and toddlers), school-aged children, and respiratory illness (COVID-19 and flu) for all ages.
Immunization records and reporting
Ensure your vaccine records are current and report all vaccinations to KFL&A Public Health. It is your responsibility to report your child's immunizations to KFL&A Public Health to keep records up-to-date per standards of the Immunization of School Pupils Act. Learn how to view and submit your vaccination records.
If you need a copy of your vaccine records, you can access them online or you can request a copy from KFL&A Public Health.
Travel vaccines
If you are travelling, you may need certain vaccines to protect you from disease. Consult your healthcare provider at least 3 months prior to your trip to determine the necessary vaccines to protect yourself from diseases. Your doctor can advise which vaccines are required. KFL&A Public Health’s immunization clinics do not offer travel immunizations. If you require immunizations for travel, visit a travel clinic:
