Board of Health
As of Jan. 1, 2025 Hastings Prince Edward Public Health; Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health; and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit have merged to form the South East Health Unit.
The South East Board of Health functions under legal authority of the Health Protection and Promotion Act and is responsible for ensuring KFL&A Public Health meets the Ontario Public Health Standards: Requirements for Programs, Services and Accountability.
The board of health works to ensure that all residents of the KFL&A region have access to public health programs and services.
The board of health comprises municipal and community appointees. The current board of health has eighteen members:
