KFL&A Public Health communicates and collaborates with health care providers, including physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, long-term care staff, dental professionals, and midwives to provide timely, accurate, and relevant local public health information and resources on topics such as:

  • Vaccine and STBBI medication ordering
  • COVID-19 resources for health care providers
  • Health-care provider resources (Password required. Please contact the health services liaison)
  • Infectious disease guidance for health care providers
  • Infection prevention and control guidelines
  • Mental health and substance use services
  • Referrals to local programs
  • Report an adverse event following immunization
  • Report a cold chain incident
  • Report an immunization record
  • Reporting a disease of public health significance
  • Shigellosis (shigella) infection
  • Vaccine guidelines

Primary Care Updates

Primary Care Updates provide important practice information such as alerts regarding emerging issues, program changes, new resources and upcoming sessions. They are often issued bi-weekly unless a more urgent notification is needed. Anyone working in a primary care office can receive these updates.
