KFL&A Public Health provides public health programs to more than 209,000 people living in our community. Our main office is located in Kingston, with staff members and volunteers also working out of branch offices in Napanee, and Cloyne.

Accountant/Bookkeeper, full-time |
$47,702 to $54,891 per year KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for an Accountant/Bookkeeper, Finance within the Corporate Services portfolio. The Accountant/Bookkeeper (Payroll), under the direction of the Manager, is responsible for performing payroll and accounting functions. They will assist in budget preparation, financial reporting and year end duties as assigned, and represent KFL&A Public Health in all interactions in a manner which promotes the mission, values, and standards of the organization. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Commerce, and three years related accounting and payroll experience in a computerized accounting environment. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel at the intermediate level and minimum data entry speed of 175 keystrokes per minute with 95% accuracy is also required. Public Health Dietitian, full-time term (12 months) |
$71,981 to $83,847 per year KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for a Public Health Dietitian, Healthy Communities, within the Community Health & Wellbeing portfolio. The Public Health Dietitian will promote and protect the nutritional health and well-being of individuals and communities. The Public Health Dietitian will use evidence-based practice to inform health policies and programs, and to implement Ontario Public Health Standards and protocols. The successful candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in foods and nutrition from a recognized university and be eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. A minimum of two years’ related experience is preferred. French language is an asset, and a satisfactory police record check is required. System Administrator, Full-time |
$64,955 to $81,354 per year KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. The IT/IM team has an immediate opening for a System Administrator. Reporting to the Manager, IT/IM, the System Administrator is responsible for daily operation, monitoring and technical support for a number of diverse hardware and software systems; providing systems and server administration support primarily in a Windows environment; maintaining appropriate security and auditing configurations for corporate computing applications; implementing new installations, upgrades and capacity planning for the products and services used to support the applications; and providing timely and quality customer support. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree, with a technical major (i.e., computer science, engineering) or equivalent; current relevant technical certification (i.e., MSCE, CISSP, or equivalent Microsoft certification); 5 to 7 years system administration experience in a corporate network computing environment; VDI deployment experience an asset; current knowledge of operating systems, LAN/WAN configuration including Ethernet, TCP/IP, VM, Remote Access and VPN; and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Volunteer opportunities vary by time of year and type of event. We offer volunteers a range of opportunities in the following areas:
- Clinic support volunteers provide assistance and support to the clinics.
- General support volunteers assist with various health promotion and health protection special events and projects. Volunteers may assist agency teams with internal requests and odd jobs, such as replenishing supplies, putting together resources packages, providing activity support or monitoring the safety of event participants.
KFL&A Public Health volunteers are an important part of a dedicated team working towards better health. We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the application process.
