May 31 is World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), an occasion to draw attention to the harms of commercial tobacco use and to encourage quit attempts among people who smoke or vape. It is important to recognize the distinction between harmful commercial tobacco and traditional tobacco, which is sacred to many Indigenous Peoples, and used in cultural ceremonies, prayers, and offerings.

South East Health Unit (SEHU) is advising residents of potential measles exposure at several sites in the southeast region related to a new single positive case of measles.
If you attended the following locations at these dates and times, you may have been exposed to measles:
If you were at any of the above locations during the exposure times:

South East Health Unit (SEHU) is advising the community of additional measles exposures in Picton, Bloomfield, and Trenton.
If you were present at these locations during these timeframes and are:
immunocompromised (regardless of age or immunity)
- born after 1970 and not up to date with your vaccinations
- an infant less than 12 months
- pregnant
- a health-care provider or childcare/education worker and do not have two doses of measles vaccine or evidence of immunity

South East Health Unit (SEHU) is advising residents of potential measles exposure at several sites in the southeast region related to a new single positive case of measles.
This is in addition to three other unrelated measles exposure locations SEHU identified in Kingston earlier this week for a different positive case of measles.
This case is also unrelated to a measles outbreak previously identified in the Hastings region.

The South East Health Unit (SEHU, formerly Hastings Prince Edward Public Health; Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health; and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit) is urging residents to make sure their immunizations are up to date amid the largest measles outbreak in the province in 30 years. As of March 12, 2025, Ontario has reported a total of 372 measles cases (277 confirmed, 95 probable) associated with this outbreak occurring in 11 public health units....
