Kingston – Getting fully vaccinated is the most important thing KFL&A residents can do to prevent future waves of COVID-19. While case rates are stable in the region, building community immunity is essential to avoid an increase in cases as we move into Step 3 and resume indoor activities and gathering in larger groups. Kingston—KFL&A Public Health is pleased to share that over 278,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region. In total, almost 80 per cent of individuals 12 years of age and older have received at least their first dose and 60 per cent of this same age group are fully vaccinated.

Kingston - KFL&A Public Health is working to resolve its information technology (IT) systems after experiencing a cyber security incident on the morning of Friday, June 25, that blocked access to the agency’s servers.

Kingston—Today, marks a significant milestone in our local vaccine roll out. With the tremendous support of multiple stakeholders and partners working together to administer vaccines, KFL&A Public Health is pleased and grateful to share that over a quarter of a million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the region. On the morning of Friday, June 25, KFL&A Public Health discovered it was the target of a cyber security incident affecting the agency’s servers, rendering them inaccessible and resulting in an information technology (IT) outage. Due to high temperatures and humidex levels Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Monday June 28 through to Tuesday June 29, 2021 possibly continuing overnight Tuesday. A combination of heat and high humidity can be hazardous to your health. Conditions during high heat and humidity have the potential to cause dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and in some cases death.

KINGSTON – KFL&A Public Health is warning residents that an extremely toxic batch of drugs is circulating in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington. Drug toxicology reports from recent weeks indicate the presence of fentanyl in the local drug supply. Delay in Pfizer Vaccine Shipment Affects Clinics in the KFL&A Region

Kingston –KFL&A Public Health is reporting that Ontario’s Pfizer vaccine delivery that was expected on Monday, June 21 has been delayed by two to three days.
