Kingston, ON – Today, Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health issued a Class Order pursuant to Section 22 of the Ontario Health Protection and Promotion Act, 1990 to enforce the following requirements for owners and operators of home and community care organizations.

KINGSTON – KFL&A Public Health is warning residents of a toxic batch of drugs circulating in Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington and Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. Outcomes from Food Service Workers’ Surveillance Testing Initiative

Kingston— Last week with a rise in cases associated with food service workers, KFL&A Public Health issued a memo to food premises operators recommending staff get tested. As a result of this surveillance initiative, visits to the KFL&A area COVID-19 assessment centres increased by 1.5 times between November 19 to November 25. There was a total of 3,951 individuals (both symptomatic and asymptomatic) assessed during this week compared to 2,531 individuals having been assessed the previous week.

Kingston, ON – Today, KFL&A Public Health confirmed a COVID-19 positive case as a passenger of a Megabus route between Kingston and Pearson International Airport in Toronto. KFL&A Public Health is unable to contact some of the passengers who may have been exposed.
