KINGSTON – KFL&A Public Health has received laboratory confirmation of the first case of Influenza A for the 2017-2018 season. It is important to get immunized now to prevent Influenza A from spreading throughout the region. KFL&A area residents can find the closest immunization clinic online at www.Ontario.ca/flu.

Kingston – Mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus (WNV) have been identified in the Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) region. Infected mosquitoes have been identified in both Kingston and Napanee. KFL&A Public Health collects and tests mosquitoes from various sites throughout the region every year for the presence of WNV. The last time mosquitoes carrying the virus were identified in KFL&A was in 2013. KFL&A Public Health has had no reported human cases this year.

ALERT: Five Overdoses from Fentanyl in the Hastings and KFL&A Area

Kingston, July 26, 2017 - Sugary drinks are just about everywhere, and they are being marketed more heavily now than ever before. What was once an occasional drink, is now being consumed daily by many children in our community.
