KFL&A Public Health Free Skate at Frontenac Community Arena, Sunday, December 10, 2017

In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, KFL&A Public Health will be supporting a free skate at Frontenac Community Arena on Sunday, December 10 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Attendees can also taste test and vote on healthier canteen menu items.
There will be entertainment and vendors, and special guest, “Santa Claus” will be on the ice from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m. This initiative is supported by the KFL&A Healthy Kids Community Challenge and KFL&A Public Health.
17th Annual Jingle Bell Run

What: More than 16,000 students and staff from 64 schools in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) will take part in the 17th annual Jingle Bell Run. Kingston – Most falls are predictable and preventable. KFL&A Public Health suggests that a healthy, active lifestyle that includes regular physical activity, such as walking, will reduce the risk of falls and result in other health benefits, such as stronger muscles and bones, improved balance, a healthier heart and lungs, and a reduced risk of chronic disease.
