Blue-green algae bloom identified in local waterway

KFL&A Public Health would like to advise the public that a possible harmful algae bloom (cyanobacteria), also known as blue-green algae, has been found in Anglin Bay (Cataraqui River). Species of the algae that can produce harmful toxins were confirmed by the laboratory of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.

KFL&A Public Health confirmed a community based COVID-19 Assessment Centre is now open at Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH) site of Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
